Table1 Effect of spraying fulvic acid on pepper yield

Results: The application of fulvic acid significantly increases the number of fruits per plant. Among the treatments, foliar spraying with 200 mg L⁻ ¹ fulvic acid yielded the highest number of fruits per plant. Green Fruit Yield (g per plant) Fresh Fruit Yield: Compared to the control (no application) and water spray, foliar application of fulvic acid at different concentrations significantly increased the fresh green fruit yield per pepper plant. Dry fruit yield: At 30 and 45 days after pepper transplanting, foliar application of different levels of fulvic acid (50–400 mg L⁻ ¹ FA) significantly increased dry green fruit yield compared to the control (no spray) and water spray. The 200 mg L⁻ ¹ FA treatment (T5) yielded the highest dry fruit production at a significant level. The application of fulvic acid significantly and sustainably increases pepper stem yield, enhances metabolic activity, and promotes both root and above-ground growth in crops.

Table 2 Effect of fulvic acid on the quality of pepper

Results: Fruit length: Application of fulvic acid significantly increased fruit length, with data showing the maximum fruit length (8.96 cm) at the 200 mg L⁻ ¹ (T5) treatment level. Fruit circumference: Compared to the control group (untreated) and water-only sprays, applying different levels of fulvic acid as a foliar spray, combined with the recommended fertilizer dose and FYM, also significantly increased the fruit circumference of chili peppers. Ascorbic acid content: Application of fulvic acid significantly increases ascorbic acid content. Data indicates that 200 mg L-1 FA yields optimal results, while excessively high fulvic acid levels reduce ascorbic acid content.

Figure 2: Effects of Different Application Rates of Fulvic Acid and Inorganic Fertilizer on Chili Peppers During the Green Fruit Stage and Maturity Stage

Results: Compared to inorganic fertilizers, the application of fulvic acid significantly increased chili pepper yields and enhanced overall plant vigor.
