Difficulties in the production of organic fertilizers

Release time:2026-02-03click count:45

(1) A microorganism has the ability to provide plant nutrients (such as nitrogen fixing genes), but may not necessarily have the ability to decompose pollutants (i.e. genes that decompose substances). It is very difficult to implement gene transfer and requires huge investment;

(2) There are many types of soil pollutants, and currently more than 105 substances have caused pollution to the environment. These pollutants have different structures and chemical compositions, so it is impossible to mix 105 microorganisms together to make a formulation. Gene transfer is more difficult to achieve;

(3) The principles and strains of biological insecticides and herbicides differ greatly, and in principle, one bacterium has one use. So it can only be made into a single microbial agent. And it takes a longer time to be effective;

(4) Some microbial agents in biological fertilizers are not typical soil microorganisms, and when they are made into microbial agents and applied to soil, they are difficult to survive. Moreover, they usually only have a shelf life of 3 months before use.
